Asheville still has a request for backflow preventer inspectors. Please inform if you know anyone who can assist and we will begin coordination. The following is from Pam Irvin of Asheville: We have 5500 backflow assemblies to test (I have removed the approximately 1000 seasonal irrigation assemblies that aren’t currently installed). The average tester can do 20 to 25 per day with travel time. If we had 20 testers, it could be completed in less than one month. With 10 testers, it would take under two months. These are conservative estimates. Ten would be the minimum, but it would be much better with more. The testers needed to be working as soon as we have potable water, so as soon as possible. With the holidays coming up, we don’t expect to have people every week. They will be working 5 days a week but can work more if they wish. If you know of anyone who can assist, please reach out. magda.holloway@summitde.com
