You are invited to join us for the 2025 Facilities & Grounds Fall Shoot. Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we are able to offer this event for an admission fee of $50.00 (normally around $130.00 per person)


The 2025 Facilities & Grounds Fall Shoot will be held at Drake’s Landing in Fuquay-Varina. This location offers sporting clay courses, shooting stations, and other activities. The program includes two educational sessions, lunch, safety training, and access to the sporting clay course. Participants are welcome to bring their own firearms, but it is not required – a 12-gauge shotgun and golf carts will be provided for each foursome. Participants cost for the event will be $50.00 per person and Participants will also have access to the Pistol Pit for an additional $25 per hour, per person.

Education Session 1: Not So Wild About Weeds – Applied Controls

Define, Identification resources, Broadleaf/grasses/sedges/rushes, Annual/biennial/perennial, Controls – Selective/nonselective, Preemergent/postemergent, Contact/systemic, Active ingredient/trade names, Resources and suggestions for problem weeds and specific situational use, Label considerations and reminders

Attendees will be eligible to receive 1 credit hour in all categories except aerial, fumigation and specialty private. Anyone with one or more of the following categories will receive the credit for each category they hold: A B G H I K L M N O T D X.

Education Session 2: October is Fire Prevention Month!

Get your team READY™ for a fire emergency with instructor-led Fire Prevention and Response training. In this course, employees will learn how to prevent and how to respond to a fire with hands-on fire extinguisher practice.
