The Women in Public Works Committee will engage public works professionals of all
genders who are committed to advancing women in the industry. Through collaboration,
education, and advocacy, the committee would aim to cultivate future leaders, increase
industry representation, and support APWA’s commitment to professional excellence
and strong communities.
A small group of individuals have met to start discussions regarding the need,
organization, and potential for this committee. We have put together a short survey to
gauge the interest and possible need for this committee for both supporting this initiative
and being a part of future events. We are asking that you take 5-10 minutes to complete
this survey: Women in Public Works Committee Interest Survey
The survey will be open through May 13, 2026. We look forward to getting NC-APWA
members’ feedback on this initiative.
