Do I need to be a member to partner with the APWA?
No, you do not need to be an APWA member to become a partner. Our Chapter Partnership Program is open to businesses, organizations, and individuals who want to collaborate with APWA-NC and support the public works industry. However, APWA membership does provide additional benefits, such as access to professional development resources and networking opportunities.

What is the difference between event partners and an APWA-NC Chapter Partner?
Event partners receive benefits related to a specific event and its time frame. Chapter Partners are partners for an entire calendar year and receive benefits related to the newsletter, among others. We would love for you to be both!
How do I become an APWA-NC Chapter Partner and what are the benefits?
We have a online registration page for Chapter Partners to sign up! The Chapter Partner registration page has been linked in the above “Resources and Forms” section or you can reach out to our partnership coordinator for more details. There you will find many opportunities and all the benefits for each partner level.
I’ve never heard of an APWA-NC Chapter Partner before, is it new?
Yes! In 2025, we decided to increase the opportunities we have for partnerships.
How do I become a partner for an event?
Becoming an event partner is simple! You can sign up directly on our website or reach out to our partnership coordinator, or individual event coordinators for more details. Partnership opportunities vary by event, so we recommend reviewing our upcoming conferences and programs to find the best fit for your organization.
Are there different partnership levels, and what do they include?
Yes, APWA-NC offers various partnership levels tailored to different engagement levels. Each level provides unique benefits, such as partner visibility, advertising placements, and speaking opportunities. Can partners exhibit or present at APWA-NC conferences?
Yes! Partners have the opportunity to exhibit at APWA-NC conferences and present vendor demos, case studies, or industry insights. Exhibition spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage early registration. Partners are welcome to submit abstracts during conference call outs, and division boards select appropriate abstracts for each event.
Are there networking opportunities for partners at conferences?
Absolutely! APWA-NC conferences feature networking receptions, partner meet-and-greets, and opportunities to connect with industry leaders. These events allow partners to build relationships, discuss collaborations, and stay informed about public works trends.
How can I promote my demos to chapter members?
InfoNow is APWA-NC’s official weekly email sent on Tuesdays, keeping members informed about upcoming events, partner opportunities and more. Partners can submit upcoming vendor demos. To submit content, contact Tamar Mitchell or visit our submission page.
Can I submit articles or case studies to be featured in APWA publications?
Yes, if you are a Chapter Partner! We welcome articles, case studies, and success stories from our partners to share valuable insights with our network. Submissions can focus on industry best practices, innovative solutions, or project case studies.
